Before we even began thinking about our film opening, our class started learning about the basics of film making, like genre, sound, and mise-en-scene. To show our mastery of this content we made a text analysis project analyzing a movie we had recently watched. I chose to discuss the musical Singin' In the Rain, which is attached above.

  Hi,  my name is Nicolas Gutierrez, I'm from South Florida, and something about me is that I like reading and tennis. I love film and media because of the variety of ways it can express complex ideas and provide fresh perspectives to real-world issues.
